You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch...
The Grinch is in the house. After weeks of waiting for everything to get in, it is finally built and ready to take on all the cross goodness the Midwest has to offer this season. Took it out for a fun little spin and some cross practice last night and it handled like a dream. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on which pedals to go with, the final consensus was 6 to 1 in favor of the eggbeaters. Besides, the eggbeater C's go so much better with the Ultegra SL and the FSA Gossamer crank (46/36) than the atac pedals. Also, the eggbeaters were 70 dollars less.
My only issue with the eggbeaters is the large amount of float they have. I like little to no float, but I am getting used to them. There is also a soft feeling when disengaging from them too, but that is no problem, just so much different from my Shimano SPD's on my mountain bike.
Nothing else new right now, just too wrapped up in all the excitement this week has provided me. Who knows, maybe more is to come; that is other than the Nebraska Cyclocross Series race this weekend in Omaha at Swanson Park. If you have no idea what cyclocross is, then come on out and try it out or help cheer on everyone. I guarantee you will have a great time. The weather is going to be real nice the whole weekend, so you have no excuse. Also, don't forget your cowbells. You can't have a cyclocross race without cowbells.

Is that the new name? Mr. Grinch? Whatever it is, that's a fine looking bicycle.
Sweet bike - but you should always take a pic of your bike with the chain on the big ring. Small ring is for wussy.
