Some ramblings from a stressed mind...
After 38 years of life, one would think I would have learned to plan things out a little better than waiting until the last minute. Well, I still haven't learned. Only yesterday I began planning and worrying on how to get to Norfolk; I also learned that it's an almost 3 hour drive; when to leave, how to take care of the dog, how to get my rear tire trued, how to ensure I get enough sleep, etc... The whole thing gave me an incredible case of heartburn yesterday, with slight reminiscences this morning.
It was then decided that I would take the dog to the kennel this morning, take my bike to the shop when I get off work, and go to bed around 8pm. Come 3am arise to an alarm clock I haven't used in almost 8 years and leave no later than 4am. The stress and heartburn will go away if I get to Norfolk by 7:30am.
The idea to just leave tonight and camp in Norfolk had crossed my mind, but I figure a decent nights sleep in my own bed would probably be the more refreshing option. Thankfully next weeks races are in Beatrice which is less than an hour drive from home, and I won't have to put the dog up in a kennel.
I will try to post some information tomorrow evening or Monday morning at the latest. Good luck to all this weekend on whatever you do, and hopefully I will see some of you at Norfolk on Saturday and Swanson on Sunday. I should be wearing teamFIRE colors.
