Feeling not so good...

Well, the swelling and the scabbing have pretty much disappeared from my face. The only thing left is a little knot that feels like a little walnut stuck in the side of my face. Other than that, back to feeling ready for the next round of mountain biking. The big event I am excited about is the Monumental Memorial Cycling Weekend this weekend in Beatrice. I am really hoping to feel really sore afterward.

Went to lunch and thought I would have a little extra. Had a chicken pesto pizza from the Macaroni Grill, pretty yummy. Then as we were leaving, there next to the place was the Cheesecake Factory. I thought, what the heck, I could go for a slice of carrot cake. Believe me, their carrot cake in awesome. So, I got myself a slice and had it at my desk. Then I needed to add what I ate into my meal diary. I thought okay, maybe 500 to 700 calories for the carrot cake. Well, it wasn't easy finding the information on the net but I found it here. Never again will I have one of those evil things. The guilt factor is definitely in overdrive and I am just wondering how much hard work has been undone by this moment of decadence. A year ago this would have never bothered me. I should have just spread eating the whole thing out over several days. Not very easy with my sweet tooth. Once I get a taste of the white nectar I just can't stop with one bite.

The Wednesday bike ride is going to be on, barring lightning; so if anyone is wondering if anyone is going to show up, you betcha. I will be there ready to go, either by myself or with anyone else. Hope to see someone else there tonight.

yeah, calorie counting is good. Count first and eat later or better don't eat:)

How do i get to my old stuff said...

count first and eat later. What good advice. How was the nutritional profile on that pizza from Macroni Grill? I used to like to go there and get this shrimp/spinach thing UNTIL I found the nutritional info.... How do you get more than 1000 cals out of shrimp and spinach?!? Lol. Don't beat yourself up. Just start again in the next moment. :)

The pizza was a little high too. I only ate 3/4 and the count came out to be 712 cal, 93 carbs, 20 fat, 37 protein. Lunch is usually where I eat most of my calories since I like to work out in the evenings and I spend most of the day on my butt.

I figure, one extreme indulgence a month won't hurt me too much. Thankfully after working out last night I burned more than I took in.
