Today is turning out to be an interesting day. Before leaving for work I put the mountain bike on the car in hopes of going out to Swanson park and riding the trail for Saturday's race. Five minutes on the road it started raining, it was actually more like drizzle. So far the plan is to work a half day today, and go ride the trail this afternoon; I am going to keep up good thoughts that the sky will not dump until after Saturday.
My parents will be continuing onto their travels across the country in their land yacht either Friday evening or Saturday morning; my plan is to take Friday off too and go see the new Spider-man Friday afternoon with them. I could go see it tonight at midnight, but I think I am getting too old for those midnight movies. Also, it just wouldn't be the same without the old Rocky crowd. If you know what that last sentence means then you are probably one of those people I am talking about.
The hunt is still on for a road racing bicycle, and the field has been narrowed. Hopefully, I will have a fitting done this weekend, Monday at the latest; once that is done the only decision left will be which bike. It's down to the Lemond Tourmalet, the Specialized Allez Elite Double, or the Trek 1500. From what I have read and heard from people is that these are really good entry level bikes and the only difference between them is just which one is appealing to me. So far I am leaning more towards the Trek. There will definitely be more to come about this dilemna and which choice I eventually make.
