Well, I didn't take any ones advice yesterday. I did the same route as usual, rode from the airport down the Wolf and Rock trails to 14th and Pine Lake and back. There weren't as many people out as on Tuesday so I was able to keep a good pace. Tonight will definitely be a different route and there will be plenty of playing in the streets. The route tonight will be out to Branched Oak, starting around 5:30. Should be total of 25 miles round trip. If anyone, or anyone who may know anyone who would be interested in this ride, let me know and I can make sure to meet them at the Point After; otherwise, I will just tool on out.
If anyone has ridden this route before, what's the elevation like? Is this a good flat route or is it nice and rolling?
The time has come to swallow my pride and ego and admit that my new bike is no longer scratch free. There were two spills yesterday and they were all when I was stopping. For some reason I couldn't get unclipped and just fell over. I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later but I was wanting it to be much later. The only scratches are on the levers, at least that is all I could find. When I feel I did what I could to hold the bike up and take the full impact on my side.
There will more than likely plenty of accidents come Saturday's Psycowpath marathon. Just hope I don't land in poison ivy again. Last week when I rode the Swanson path I fell into poison something (Ivy, Oak, something) and I have some nasty itching on my left thigh. Bought several tubes of hydrocortisone to keep me from scratching my flesh to shreds.

a lot of folks say it's not if, but when, you tip over for want of getting ur feet out of the pedals. Glad you escaped relatively unscathed. Good to get those first few bike scratches out of the way. You bought it to ride, not ogle, right? :)
Your route tonight as some nice long hills. enjoy.
